These shakes are both nutritious and delicious. Many of the ingredients can be found in the frozen food section, so you can easily keep them on hand. Super-C Kiwi Kick-Start Smoothie

Kiwis are high in Vitamin C, great for fighting free radicals.

  • 3 kiwis, peeled
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup coconut water ice cubes

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend from low to high till until smooth.

Calories: 293, Fat: 2g, Carbs: 69g, Protein: 6g, Fiber: 12g

 

24 ‘Carrot’ Gold

Drink this smoothie for a boost of Vitamin A.

  • 1 cup fresh carrot juice
  • 1/4 cup vanilla soy yogurt
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 frozen peach chunks
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup ice

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend from low to high until smooth.

Calories: 253, Fat: 2g, Carbs: 58g, Protein: 6g, Fiber: 6g

 

 

Vanilla Pumpkin Pleasure Shake

This shake is a great way to begin your fall morning.

  • 1 cup vanilla soy milk ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup 100% pumpkin puree ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup vanilla soy milk (soy creamer or coconut milk may be used for a richer   shake)
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave syrup (or to taste)
  • pinch of salt

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend from low to high until smooth.

Calories: 279, Fat 5g, Carbs: 50g, Protein: 10g, Fiber: 4g

 

 

Skinny Vanilla Retreat

This protein rich shake tastes like those you drank as kid, with less fat and calories.

  • 1/2 cup vanilla soy milk
  • 1 heaping scoop vanilla vegan protein powder
  • 1 cup frozen watermelon chunks
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend from low to high until smooth.

Calories: 282, Fat: 2g, Carbs: 42g, Protein: 27g, Fiber 5g

 

 

Peanut Butter-Banana Swirl Shake

This shake is for when you’re craving dessert. The peanut butter is recommended to be room temperature so that it easily blends into the shake.

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 heaping tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup vanilla soy milk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • Dash of ground cinnamon

 

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend from low to high until smooth.

Calories: 512, Fat: 19g, Carbs: 77g, Protein: 15g, Fiber 9g
